In 8th grade, before even asking her name, Vince and Marcus asked Keisha to lend them $20 for a subscription to Shonen Jump. Faced with their audacity and carefree attitude, she couldn't help but become their friend. Tanner joined them later and today they are pretty much inseparable.

Keisha has a little brother but since her mother died - she has that in common with Vince - her father has custody of him, and she sees him very little.
