Machina had a crush on Astroman. Astroman's mind is based on Madmans brain waves and that is why Astroman thought that he loved Jo (Madman's girlfriend). Therefore, Machina grew jealous and tried to kill Jo, but failed. After Astroman discovered that Machina had a crush on him, he realised that he loved Machina in return.
Machina tried to commit suicide when she thought that Astroman was depleted.
