Origin

Solomon Benjamin Bache is the great-grandson of Benjamin Franklin. Like his great-grandfather, Bache believed in the supernatural potential of lightning and attempted to continue his ancestor's experiments and notes. He made a breakthrough when he collected the key Franklin used in his kite experimented. It gave him mastery over lightning and by extension life and death. Attempting to raise the dead in Philadelphia, Bache was responsible for what historians called the Lightning Riot of 1894. He was stopped by Redcoat and some of his 1890s allies. He was believed to have died that night, but the lightning simply changed him into something new.
