Superstar is a media darling and has action figures, movie options, etc. just waiting for him to profit on. While facing threat after threat including the Quantum Mechanic and Robo-Sapian, Superstar's powers are fueled by his fans donating energy at his various public appearances that are put together by his billionaire father who only looks to make money off of his son. Against the wishes of the young hero, his father markets his son's likeness to toy companies and television and film studios.
