North Force

Michael Strongheart is the fourth First Nations man to assume the mantle of The Canadian. Each one has assumed the role after the passing of the previous one, as the costume, identity and power is passed from one person to the next. To the outside world, it appears as though there has been a single eternal warrior who has protected their country.

One day, The Canadian decided to form a team of other Canadian superheroes from different territories. He saw the need for a group who could take on bigger problems that other heroes couldn't deal with individually. There were cataclysm events occurring and there was a need for a unified force to contend with them. The idea was to pool their resources so that they could handle big problems. Local police and other local superheroes seemed capable of handling the little stuff.

The Canadian first recruited Blue Jay after they worked together against a group of abominable snowmen. They bumped into Grizzly at a bar in Montreal by coincidence and witnessed her in action against some American drunks sexually rehearsing her. They recruited Grizzly right on the spot and started to recruit others to officially form North Force.

When The Vicious Circle moved north to Canada after they were driven out of Chicago by Bellco Chemical's Freak Out drug, The Canadian clashed with Roughneck and Samurai. Some time later, The Canadian approaches Malcolm Dragon and warns him that Thor is on the loose. Soon after teaming-up against Thor, The Canadian offered Malcolm to join North Force. Malcolm declined the offer out of respect of his own family. The Canadian along with the rest of North Force parted on good terms, and were soon joined by Captain Tootsie for a mission into outer space against the Stone Men from Cyrus-5.
