It was revealed that Thunder-Head's mother was the superheroine Rapture. Malcolm Dragon, son of the Savage Dragon, reconciles with his half-brother and convinces Thunder-Head to retire as villain.
Later, Thunder-Head attends his half-brother's wedding, where he met Mei Ling Lai, Maxine's mother. Shortly after her husband's death, Thunder-Head and Mei form a relationship. Soon later, Mei gives birth to their daughter Julia.
