Warhog
A follower of Ursaw, who now wears Swine's stolen warden helmet
- Animal Control
- Weapon Master
Origin
Warhog was a loyalist of Ursaw, an enhanced human hired as a mercenary by the Better-World company to clean up Exodus, a dying colony planet. Most of the remaining residents were employees of Better-World abandoned by the company, including the wardens, who were trained to acclimate wildlife to the new planet by use of neural network helmets that allowed them to influence them instinctually. After Ursaw killed Swine, the warden of wild pigs, he trusted the helmet to Warhog.
Creation
Warhog first appeared as a loyalist in Rook: Exodus #2 by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok

Wild Pig Helmet
After killing Swine, Ursaw and his army come across Rook (blackbird warden) and Dire Wolf (wolf warden). They attack them, but Rook and Wolf manage to escape. They follow the duo to The Oasis, a hydroelectric dam turned into a safehouse by Carapace (turtle warden). Housed inside The Oasis was The Wildlife Grid, the broadcasting orb that connected the wardens helmets to each other.
Warhog was partnered with Kaa (snake warden) to attack The Oasis as a distraction to lure Rook and Dire Wolf away. Warhog took on Rook, and Kaa took on Dire Wolf. Warhog nearly overwhelmed Rook, but he was killed by Dire Wolf's wolves, leaving the helmet behind for Rook to recover.
Powers & Abilities
Neural Network Helmet: Warhog was given a stolen warden helmet. This helmet allowed a warden to control a particular group of animals to help terraform the planet of Exodus. In his case, it was hogs.
- Communication: They come equipped with two-way communicators to other Wardens
- Instinct Influence: The neural connection is two-way, and the animals can sometimes influence their own instincts on to their wardens. The scientists who developed the tech believed that the animals would be too weak minded to have a significant affect on humans.
