In The Sandman, she is the youngest of the nine muses. Traditionally, she is the oldest. Her son, Orpheus, is a product of her marriage to Morpheus. She was imprisoned for many years by author Erasmus Fry, and then Richard Madoc, another writer. Eventually, Morpheus freed her.
