The son of Captain Battle, William Battle, became Captain Battle Jr. when his father could not fight evil. Captain Battle's sidekick, Hale Battle, also took the name Captain Battle, Jr. after returning in Project Superpowers.

When one-eyed hero Captain Battle became injured, his son William took up the crime-fighting family ways as Captain Battle Jr. He didn't have his father's flare sticking to fighting Nazis with his fists and wits, not his father's gadgets, and wearing a standard aviators uniform rather than his father's more colorful garb. However, the elder Battle forbade his son from continuing his heroics until he turned 18.
Project: Superpowers - When Fighting Yank tried to end evil by capturing his fellow heroes in the urn better known as Pandora's box, Captain Battle and his sidekick Hale Battle were trapped. Upon being released from the urn, Hale Battle took the name Captain Battle, Jr.
