History
Captain Courageous is described as "omnipresent," existing in a limbo which lies "between the worlds of hope and despair." There, in the black void, whenever "brave men and women ask for courage, he never fails to hear." His recurring foe is the evil Captain Nippo.

Speeding to their assistance, this "dymamic symbol of American fearlessness" has the power of flight as well as super strength. He can also live underwater, apparently indefinitely.
