Other Versions

Disney's Peter Pan

Captain Hook is the main villain of the Disney animated feature from 1953, having hatred for Peter Pan and The Lost Boys from Neverland, since they always get in the way of his plans. Captain Hook has a fear of crocodiles due to an insistent long ago where one ate his hand, followed by an alarm clock.

Captain Hook tries his best to kill the Darling children, and The Lost Boys, but fails at every turn. Until he managed to kidnap Tinker Bell, forcing her to tell him where they are, under the promise he wouldn't harm Peter Pan. This was of course a lie, the movie ended with Captain Hook being chased by the crocodile again, where it implies he was eaten by the reptile.

However in The Return To Neverland from 2002 film, it was shown that Captain Hook had survived his encounter with the crocodile, and was once again hunting Peter Pan. However this time he lost to Wendy's daughter, Jane. Captain Hook was voiced by Hans Conried and later Corey Burton in the sequel.

This version of Captain Hook was used in plenty of promotional martial, which includes comics, and Disney crossovers, such as Mickey's House of Mouse.

In 1991's one sequel to the original Peter Pan film, Peter Pan left Neverland, became an adult and had children, he also lost the memories of who he once was. However Captain Hook was still angered by Peter Pan's constant wins back in the day, and decided to travel to the real world in order to kidnap Pan's children, in order to get his final revenge. Peter Pan saved his children, and defeated the pirate. Captain Hook was played by Dustin Hoffman.

Peter Pan

In the 2003 live action Peter Pan remake, Captain Hook is once again a villain, however his hatred for Pan comes from a harsher past between the two. Captain Hook instead of using Tinker Bell this time used Wendy by attempting to convince her to join the pirates to which she briefly did. Captain Hook eventually lost the final battle between Pan and himself, when Wendy chose Peter over Hook. Although in this version Captain Hook is shown to not be fully wrong. Peter Pan is holding the Lost Boys on the island, convincing them it is the for the best, however at the end they're brought back to the mainland, where Captain Hook was able to show to Wendy that Peter wasn't as flawless, as he likes to pretend and was a selfish hero. Captain Hook was played by Jason Isaacs.

Rumpelstiltskin murdered her in front of Hook, before taking his hand. Starting a long rivalry between the two of them, even after both were redeemed, Hook continued to carry hatred for Rumpelstiltskin, and called him the "crocodile".
