Origin

Captain Slaughterboard  was an evil man and pirate.  Murder and mayhem were immensely  enjoyed.  He was even known for cutting people up with his cutlass.  On a remote island, he runs into a strange Yellow Creature that changes his life.  He loves the creature and becomes best friends with it.  From that day on they remain together at all times sailing the seas. 

Character Evolution

In the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Universe Slaughterboard is described by Captain Clegg as being a good man and an enemy to know one.  His ship the Black Tiger is used for the Pirates' Conference at Rose Island.
