Creation
Cheeta is a chimpanzee friend of Tarzan in films and in the 1966 television series. Cheeta replaced Nkima, or Tarzan's monkey friend in our books and adapted to the Filmation's animated series.
Contrary to popular legend, Cheeta was played by several chimpanzees.
