Christian first appears in 1678 in Pilgrim's Progress. Christian is suffering from his burden and despite everyone who tries to get him to stay (Including his family), He leaves. He ends up on a journey of life that is full of evil pitfalls and temptations.

League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

In the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Christian is part of the first team that is a precursor to the league. He has the same journey he does in the novel interrupted by his work with the league.
