Being created by Lt. Com. Frank V. Martinbek of the Navy gave Don Winslow a little more gravitas than most fictional Navy heroes.
Don Terry played Don Winslow in two cliffrhanger serials. First he starred in the 1942 production of Don Winslow and the Navy. Then he went for an encore performance in the 1943 sequel entitled Don Winslow and the Coast Guard.
