Character History

Frosty the Snowman is a character originally depicted in a hit children's song of 1950 but since adapted to television specials and comic books. He is an actual snowman brought to life by magic. Melting in spring, Frosty is restored to life in winter.

Other Versions

In the 2012 Grimm Fairy Tales Holiday Special, a version of the character is shown in a morality tale as a man kills his wife in a domestic dispute during the holidays and then buries her near a snowman, which turns out to be alive.  It subsequently kills him.  The snowman is later shown to be in the control of Krampus as he is tormenting a group of girls in a shopping mall.  When Sela shows up to confront Krampus, the Snowman attacks her.
