Blood Hunt

In the Marvel Universe, the X-Man Magik idolized Ilya Muromets due to bedtime stories her father read to her during childhood. In reality, Ilya's folk tale inaccurately depicted the cause for his superhuman strength and speed - that of vampirism - a gift bestowed upon him by two pilgrims centuries ago. During the Blood Hunt, it is revealed that Ilya has taken hostage a small Siberian village, claiming it as his own and playing sadistic games with its human population. Magik is "captured" and brought to the village, only to reveal her identity and slaughter the vampires en masse. Ilya is impressed at the prospect of finally battling a worthy foe, but he underestimates Magik's mutant and magical abilities. Ilya loses the fight, and is swiftly decapitated by Magik's Soulsword.
