Inari first appeared in the Ares mini-series. he was the messenger for the remaining gods of the East after the attack from Mikaboshi. He was the one to contact the Olympian gods, if they were to ask for the gods of the East help they would answer. But Ares would not beg and send Inari on his way. It was then that Inari asked for some water to quench his thirst so Ares brought him some and then he left. He went to the gods of the East and said the offered this water to them and had asked for their help. The gods of the East had no reason to doubt Inari and answered the request and aided the gods of Olympus in their battle.
