Origin
Lucifer, the fallen angel is likely derived from the Caananite god, Helel. He was borrowed into Christian mythology and is there often considered the same being as Satan, but they are separate beings in other beliefs, for example Judaism. Lucifer is seen as a force of good and bringer of light in various occultisms and satanism.
Major Story Arcs
Avengelyne

The Dragon was once the angel Lucifer, the most beautiful of God's angels. He gained support of other angels and rebelled against God. He was expelled from Heaven and sent to Hell where he established a evil castle known as Pandemonium. The angels who had sided with him were cast out as well and became the demons. It was the Dragon who was responsible for giving Adam and Eve the original sin by tricking Eve into eating from the forbidden Tree of Life.
The Red Dragon would begin to search Earth for his replacement. He took control of Avengelyne's body and put hers in a stripper and adult film actress named Heaven Starr. He found his possible replacement in the demon Torment, but they were both defeated by Avengelyne and Passover.
During Armageddon, the Dragon was captured by the evil angel Micah and imprisoned. On the final battlefield of Megiddo, Micah killed the Dragon, thus killing all the remaining demons. However, Micah traveled to the past where he was killed by God, starting the cycle of humanity over again and the Dragon remaining alive.
Dawn

Linsner's Lucifer is almost identical in looks to God. Dawn is tasked with collection of his halo which she gifts to Darrian Ashoka. Darrian smashes the halo rather than return it to either God or the Devil. Lucifer slinks away while God simply returns to heaven satisfied its no longer an issue.
Later, in Three Tiers, Lucifer becomes a TV evangelist to corrupt humans but gives this up when he is forgiven by God. Of course this only lasts a short while and he returns to collect his new Halo from The Attrocity, he traded it with him to allow him passage to earth where he was corrupting souls.
2000AD

Lucifer is the King of the Necrophim who used to be the Seraphim who followed Lucifer into Hell in the 2000AD thrill of the same name.
Wildstorm

Lucifer seeks to escape Hell and finds his scapegoat in Dante who he lures on a quest to free his lover, Beatrice (whom Lucifer claims as his own bride), when in all actuality what Dante is doing is breaking the chains that bind Lucifer to Hell.
