Poseidon was the god of the seas and, as 'Earth-Shaker', of earthquakes in Greek mythology.
Like his brother Zeus, Poseidon was known for having many human lovers. He once raped Medusa on the floor of one of the one of Athena's temples. Angered by the blasphemy, the goddess then changed Medusa into a monster. When she was later beheaded by the hero Perseus, Chrysaor and Pegasus emerged from the blood spilling from her neck.
Powers
As the god of seas, Poseidon possesses numerous powers, such as super strength, speed, durability, reflexes, etc..
He is also capable of summoning electricity when close to the water. He can create Leviathans, beings so powerfull they were capable of tearing through titans and one of them even held his own against Kratos, he can also ''enter'' the sea, projecting a giant image of himself, further upgrading his own physical powers and summoning a trident.
