*Note possibly the first appearance of Quetzalcoatl in modern comics
In this short horror story Quetzal is the Aztec God of Justice, and he watches over the Aztec city of Quetan. At some point after fall of the Aztec empire, Torque and his band of murderous criminals find themselves in the ruins of Quetan and help themselves to the Aztec gold hidden there.
Quetzal kills off the evil men and reforms them into monstrous ghouls who are forced to be the Living Dead. These men then roam the abandon city, thirsting for lifeblood and are forbidden to leave.
Years later Bob Martin and his young beautiful wife come to Quetan looking for the fortune but find the Living Dead. Quetzal intervenes when it looks like the Living Dead will eat the two explores. The God of Justice senses they are good people and allows them to leave Quetan, his City of the Living Dead.
Quetzal then turns his attention to Grogan and Thompson, two of explores guides who planned on killing the husband and wife and taking the gold for themselves. Quetzal turns them into Living Dead, showing that his is still the God of Justice.
