Starbuck is a Quaker and a whaler who has a wife named Mary and a child whom he loves and wants to go home too. The only problem is the mad Captian Ahab. Starbuck is the first officer of the Pequod and is virtually the only character who tries to get Ahab to stop pursuing Moby Dick.Trivia
