Origin
First Azura points to Dale standing in a glass chamber and tells Flash that she is dead. When Flash says that he wants to die as well, then Azura says that she will bring Dale back, if Flash agrees to be his slave. Flash agrees to the Queen's terms. Then she gives him a drugged drink and tells him that he is hers forever!
Creation
Queen Azura, also known as the Witch Queen of Mongo, first appeared in the Flash Gordon comic strip story arc "The Witch Queen of Mongo", published between April 12 and October 13, 1935.

Also known as the Witch Queen of Mongo, Azura was the queen of Syk and the leader of the blue-clad Magic Men. After meet Flash Gordon, she exposed him to a substance which wipes away his memory, and then convinces him that he is her consort.
