Hans Katzenjammer, who for the last 113 years has conspired with his brother Fritz to miss as much school as possible, and make the lives of Der Captain and Der Inspector (the local truant officer)  as difficult as possible, at times creating the most elaborate contraptions from ordinary objects found on their tropical island home to do this.

Seemingly impervious to pain or real damage Hans and his sibling have also found from time to time that they have to drop their high-jinx to deal with pirates, hostile natives from other islands and even an invasion from outer space on one occasion. 

While a brunette, in a parallel universe Hans it seems is the blond one.
