Officially appeared for the first time at the beginning of the third series.

Sailor Neptune is the Sailor Solider of Waves and Affinity, under the protection of the Deep Sea star, Neptune. She uses the element of the sea for her attacks, and uses a talisman called the Deep Aqua Mirror. She is one of the four Outer Senshi, who inhabit the outer planets of the Solar System. In her civilian form as Michiru Kaioh, she is a softspoken artist who paints and plays the violin. She and her fellow Sailor Senshi, Sailor Uranus, are lesbians, and have the most famous relationship out of all "out" anime/manga characters.
Michiru is precognitive and can sense evil and danger before she actually encounters them. This ability does not seem to be part of her Senshi powers as it is active regardless of her other powers working or not. Her power is elemental in nature, drawing energy from the deep waters of the sea and using it to attack her opponents.
