Slifer the Sky Dragon (also known as The Dragon God Osiris) is one third of the trio of powerful Duel Spirits known as the Egyptian God Monsters. Symbolizing the two extremes of the Universe, good and evil, Slifer is one of the most powerful creatures to ever walk the planet.

Ancient Egypt
In Ancient Egypt Slifer was one of the three ancient gods that was able to be summoned by the Pharoh, making him one of the three most powerful spirit monsters in existence. The only monsters to rival the three Egyptian Gods were Diabound and the White Dragon.
Duel Monsters
When Maximillion Pegasus created the Duel Monsters card game he searched far and wide to find the carvings of the three Egyptian gods. Despite his archaeological teams misfortunes Pegasus hand painted the designs for the God Cards which released their spirits back into the real world. Pegasus then sealed the cards in the tomb within the original carvings though all but Obelisk would be stolen by rare hunters. Slifer was used by Marik Ishtar through his mind slave strings to duel Yugi Muto for his Millennium Puzzle. Yugi would win this duel making Slifer the first of the Egyptian gods he would win
