The Scarlet Skull is given a new lease on life in the a pages of The Liberty Brigade. In his new retcon origin story, his secret identity is Terrance Kemp. Since the day he was born, Terrance was neglected by his actress mother and grew to become The Scarlet Skull, a criminal-for-hire and Nazi sympathizer. He inherited none of his mother's looks, his ugly exterior masking an even darker heart. He designed a scarlet skull-shaped mask to help frighten America into submitting to his evil. He has minimal super-powers and has been thwarted by nearly every superhero in America at one time or another, including Daredevil. The Scarlet Skull is a member of Hitler's Aryan Skulls.
