Richard Reinhart became the second Night Mask to follow in his father's footsteps. His main motivation was to make his father proud, even if his crime fighting skills were sorely lacking.

History
Richard Reinhart is the son of Erika Blane and Philip Reinhart, the original Masked Marvel, who went on to name himself Night Mask. His parents divorced when Richard was quite young. Richard attended several colleges and journeyed through Europe and was raised by his mother. Richard learned that his father, Philip Reinhart, was integral in the formation of the Protectors and asked the President of the United States if he could join. The President allowed it and Richard to his father's superhero name, Night Mask. Night Mask was inept in fighting crime, unfortunately, due to his inexperience. As a member of the Protectors, Night Mask struck a close friendship with Marcia Beckworth, who went on to become the third Night Mask. He was killed in battle against Mr. Monday.

Night Mask had no super powers but it quite athleitc. He was inept in hand to hand combat and his inexperience led to his death.
