History

Dr. Alia Gregor was Orchis' head of research and development. Previously with A.I.M., her paper "The Cro-Magnon problem" reported that humanity would have been quickly overtaken by mutants if not for the genocide at Genosha (which had wiped out nearly 95% of the Earth's mutant population) and that the threat was still urgent. This led to Killian Devo's Orchis protocols and then the founding of Orchis once mutants established another nation at Krakoa.

Gregor and her husband Erasmus Mendel joined Orchis, but Mendel was killed in a strike by the X-Men at the Orchis Forge. Heartbroken, Dr. Gregor created Nimrod of Earth-616 and implanted her dead husband into it, but he sacrificed himself again to save her from another mutant attack; Nimrod remained but her husband was gone for good.

Later, Gregor discovered that the A.I.s of Orchis, including Omega Sentinel and her own Nimrod, were actually plotting against humanity as well as mutants. In a pivotal act, she saved the mutant Cyclops, but she was soon killed by her own Nimrod.^[6]

Alia Gregor seems to be a multi-field scientist as she understands biomechanical engineering, biology, physics, robotics, cybernetics, and computer science.
