After Abner Jenkins stopped being Beetle, Hobgoblin sold one of his extra armors to an unnamed criminal. He was present at the funeral of Electro's assistant, Francine. Following Electro's defeat, Beetle was among the villains that were impressed with Black Cat's blow to Parker Industries and the police where they swore their allegiance to her.
Beetle was later seen at the Slide-Away Casino when Tiberius Stone meets with Black Cat.
