Makes his first appearance in the Luke Cage series. Big Ben Donovan, though just a human being, managed to floor Luke Cage. Luke Cage still prevailed in the end, but not without recognizing Donovan's strength. Donovan would later become a short ally of Cage's.
Later it is revealed that Donovan is responsible for the death of the original Thunderbolt's(Bill Carver) little brother. Thunderbolt seeks revenge and justice is served.
He makes another appearance going up against Daredevil
