Origin
Binary is a sentient energy being created accidentally by Captain Marvel when she used her powers to form an energy version of herself to escape an alien trap. Because she was on a planet seeded with the DNA of Mar-Vell and the energies of the Phoenix Force, the energy form absorbed both and became a living being with fragments of Captain Marvel’s own memories. She called herself Binary and has allied herself with Captain Marvel.
