Jack Tarr was a man whom grew up during the cold war and became a member of the British Army, MI-6, and Freelance Restorations. He became romantically involved with a fellow MI-6 member named Anna, but the two broke up when Jack's sense of duty came before his own priorities. He was heartbroken by this, but remained a member of the special forces and joined the CIA. He later rejoined MI-6 as one of the leaders, along with his good friend Clive Reston.
Creation
"Black" Jack Tarr was created by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin.and first appeared in Master of Kung Fu issue 17 (1974). Black Jack Tarr is sometimes portrayed as a bigot because of his politically incorrect manners but is truly a good man and a good friend to Shang Chi.
