Origin

The story of Blizzard begins and ends with the name Stark. Employed by Stark Industries, Dr Gregor Shapanka became obsessed with his own mortality and attempted to steal and sell Stark's micro transistor technology in order to fund research into longevity. He got caught in the act by Iron Man, who unknowingly was his former boss, the golden avenger trapped Shapanka in the vault and changed back to Tony Stark. Feeling remorse for his former employee Stark allowed him to leave, stating that If Shapanka didn't disappear he would get cold fit about his decision, those words would Gregor an idea.

Thinking of Tony's "cold feet" remark Shapanka figured out a way of freezing living being without killing them, he later developed a suit capable of generating immense cold and lowering his own body temperature. Using it to perform acts of villainy, he came to be known as Jack Frost and battled Iron Man, losing to the golden gladiator.

He would disappear for years, and return after somehow building a stronger suit while in prison, he escaped his cell and renamed himself Blizzard, from that point becoming one of the most recurring Iron Man foes and battling him time and time again.

Major Story Arcs

Deadly duo

While in prison, he managed to create another cold suit but It needed a strong power source to function, for his luck the criminal Electro, who was on the other cell, was trying to escape. Shapanka got hit by Electro's energy blast due to being in the other wall, that not only powered the Blizzard suit but also fused the cold device to Gregori's body, him and Electro would form a partnership but would later be defeated by Daredevil and Spider-Man in an failed attempt to take over the Daily Bugle.

New Power

Shapanka's body would later mutate and he developed actual ice powers, he seemingly perished in a battle with the Hulk.

Death

Shapanka somehow managed to survive his battle with the Hulk and had lost his powers. His life came to an end when he was killed by Arno Stark, the Iron Man 2020, who had traveled back in time to retrieve the retina patterns of a kid who would become a terrorist in his time and detonate a bomb that killed many people.
