Origin
Brielle's mother, Safron Caulder, was a former lover of Blade, the vampire hunter. When she became pregnant with his child, she moved from London to Atlanta to keep her away from the world of vampires. However, one night, when she was a teenager, Brielle went to the batting cages with her friends. She swung the bat so hard that it splintered. The next day she was unable to repeat this feat until nightfall, when they were attacked by a vampire. Brielle was able to fight the vampire off, whom also described Bri's blood as tasting weird. She continued to experiment with these powers until she was attacked by a vampire with her mom, who was ready with a stake.
Creation
Brielle made her first appearance in Free Comic Book Day 2022: Avengers/X-Men. Previously, a character named Fallon Grey was going to be introduced as the daughter of Blade in a series from Tim Seeley and Logan Faerber in 2015, but that series never materialized.
Major Story Arcs
Meeting Dad

With Brielle's powers emerging, more and more vampires were attracted by the smell of her blood. Safron begged her to be careful and stay out of trouble while she secretly calls her dad, Blade, to come meet her for the first time. Brielle goes out on a hunt anyway when she finds out Whitney, the new girl in school, is a trained vampire hunter.
Unfortunately, Whitney didn't care for Bri being a half-breed, so she lured her into a nest of vampires to be taken out. Blade showed up at the nick of time to save her and bring her home, vowing to help her rein in her feral powers.
There training gets put on hold when Safron gets kidnapped by a clone of Deacon Frost and his new hunting party made of vampires and humans, including Whitney. Their attacks on Bri was to lure Blade out so they could steal his blood for a special ritual. However, father and daughter were able to team up and take them down.
Bad Blood

Bri joined her dad on a hunt for an energy vampire master named, R'ym'r. They chased him out of Atlanta and followed him up the coast for a week before R'ym'r settled in Brooklyn. Because these energy vampires are attracted by bio-electricity, Blade and Bri end up crossing paths with Brooklyn's resident Spider-Man, Miles Morales. After finding an MTA badge on a vampire leech, Miles leads them to the subway where they find R'ym'r's nest.
They nearly captured him in a magic vessel, when they are interrupted by speedster, Hightail, who has been keeping tabs on Miles. When she broke the incantation, she gave R'ym'r a chance to escape, but before he left, he infected Hightail into one of his soldiers.
Bri and Blade fought R'ym'r to buy Miles time while he tries to subdue Hightail. As long as she was infected, R'ym'r got a superhuman boost from her. Once Miles venom blasted Hightail unconscious, the trio were able to subdue R'ym'r and successfully recite the incantation that would trap him in the magic vessel. Once there, his vampire goons were cured.
Blood Hunt

The sky goes black after the vampire cult, The Structure, fills it with darkforce energy in a plot for world domination. This has an immediate affect on Bri, whose abilities only come out at night. She feels more powerful and energized than she ever has. As vampires descend on Atlanta, she is joined in the fight by Dracula, who asks for her help in ending the The Structure. She agrees, and the two teleport to Manhattan, the epicenter of the problem. There, they seek out the Sanctum Sanctorum to find Doctor Strange and team up with the Avengers.
Once there, Brie was given the bad news that Blade had been possessed by Varnae, and Dracula claimed that she was the only thing that could stop him as his offspring. Initially, Bri panicked and tried to run away, but Dracula and Miles Morales (recently transformed into a vampire) were able to calm her down. While the Avengers take on Bloodcoven, Varnae's elite vampires, Miles and Dracula get Bri close to Blade.
Unfortunately, Varnae through Blade had already channeled enough of the darkforce to withstand Bri's power over his vessel. So, Miles grabbed Bri's sword, since he was now part of Varnae's bloodline. Their combined might forced Varnae's astral form to leave Blade, ending the endless night.
Avengers Academy

Bri was trying to rescue her friend, Jayden, who accidentally matched with a vampire on a dating app. The would-be vampire date brought Jayden to the vampire cult, Temple of the Shifting Sun, which had been hanging out on Hexus property. After slaying Jayden's attacker, Bri was approached by Doctor Voodoo. Doctor Voodoo invited her to join a new Avengers Academy. Early into their first semester together, they were attacked by Swarm. It took the combined powers of the entire class to defeat Swarm, revealing his employer, Hexus, might have an interest in the new school.
After some time together, they were forced into action, despite Danvers' instructions not to, when Stanley Osborn, brother of fellow student, Red Goblin, was kidnapped by a new Sinister Six. Among the Sinister Six was Apostate, a recent vampiric rival of Bloodline's. Thanks to a romantic entanglement with another member, classmate Aaron Fischer believed the team had a man on the inside who would help them get Stanley back.
Mysteriant would make good on being their inside man. He even went as far as to use his illusions to trick his leader, Squid Kid, into thinking he stumbled upon his betrayal. When the Sinister Six ambushed the cadets, it was a trap to keep the villains distracted while the students free both Stanley and the sensitive business data of the likes or Roxxon and Hexus that Squid Kid had been holding for ransom. Although, rather than return it, Mysteriant had it dumped on the internet for the public to see.
Serpent in the Garden

Bri witnessed her classmate, Escapade, being kidnapped by Emplate, a vampiric mutant who can move through dimensions just like the new academy campus can. She managed to stab him with Tusk of Ratatoskr, which can locate anything it made bleed. She rounded up any of the class or faculty that happened to be around, including the new residential advisor, Hazmat. Danvers told everyone to stay put while she works with mutant and sorcerers to get to the bottom of it. Bri refused to sit back, and Hazmat refused to let her go alone. Unfortunately, when they located Shela, she had already been turned into a familiar and attacked them.
Thankfully, Bri was able to talk Shela out of her thrall and the shared with her the same medication she takes to quench her own vampiric thirst. With Shela healed, they busted Kid Juggernaut and Mettle, both of whom had been taken prisoner by Emplate and returns to the campus. Unfortunately, they found the cadets left behind transformed into familiars of Emplate. Because Escapade was too weak to fight back, Bri stood guard, fighting Emplate. Bri attempted to stab him once more with the Tusk, but Emplate used Escapade's ability to switch places with her, stabbing Bri instead. Shela was shocked and reached her full potential to save Bri. She stacked her switches, dilluting the Emplate infections across her friends as well as Bri's injury, thus healing them all. She also stole enough of their powers to overwhelm Emplate and banished him from this dimension.
The Midnight Chapel
Brielle was at Shela’s bedside when she heard voices coming from under the hospital bed. She found the original variants of Speed and Wiccan, created from pieces of Mephisto, who escaped their father’s realm and had been hiding on campus. They had believed they didn’t exist and that no one could sense them, as if they were ghosts. Scared by Bri, they tried to run away. Bri managed to catch up with Billy while Tommy doubled back to Shela’s bed and managed to wake her up for help. They had convinced both cadets that they needed help since Mephisto had sent Blackheart to campus to drag them back to Mephisto’s realm.
Tommy and Billy demanded they be brought to the chapel on campus. Blackheart cut them off. Shela would switch places with the demon. She would feel his despair, but he would feel her hope. In that instance, he allowed them to escape, angering Mephisto. When they finally arrived at the chapel, they were met by Kid Immortus (a time displaced variant of Iron Lad). the chaplain of the chapel, and M'Kraan, an angelic being who saved Immortus. She took the twins to safety.
Afterward, Blackheart would be returned to campus transformed into a human by Mephisto as punishment for his failure
Lost in Time
As revenge for failing to enchant Kid Juggernaut, Enchantress curses the Avengers cadet to speak their hearts’ truths, leading to some awkward conversations. Jara, the lost valkyrie who runs the ice cream shop across the street from campus and has grown to like the students, uses a magic trinket of her own to undo the curse. However, these magical spells weaken the M’Kraan crystal that holds the campus in a superposition across time and space. Kid Immortus needed to send the cadets into time to correct incursions. Bri and Shela found themselves on ancient Asgard during a vampire attack.
The vampires were sent by Bellos, who had kidnapped Jara of the Riven Sky, who brings with her the sun. Bellos also ripped out his own eye and set a young Loki to find it, believing it to be a special stone. Once Loki brought it within Odin's castle, Bellos was able to use it as an invitation. Luckily, Bri and Shela had tracked down Jara's prison and released her. They returned with Jara and the sun, wiping Bellos and the vampires out. With Asgard's timeline corrected, Kid Immortus was able to locate and rescue them.
One World Under Doom
When Doctor Doom usurped the title of Sorcerer Supreme, he used it to install himself as world emperor. A Hydra splinter group, led by Sin (still using her Cherry Crane alias) used the confusion to hide their new illegal activities as they rounded up seditious residents of America including Jara and Marcus. The cadets locate Marcus on a maglev train Hydra was using to travel the country. As resident heist-master, Shela made a plan for them to board the train.
Blackheart opened portals to campus that the cadets could lead prisoners through, but his magic finally got the attention of Doom. He disliked the interdimensional magic of his mother’s torturer on Earth. He sent a fleet of doombots to take out Blackheart, who needed to be defended by the cadets. Meanwhile, Shela and Justin went to rescue Marcus from Sin and her enforcer, Maphegor, an apostle of Cyttorak. Shela tricked Sin into pushing her off the train so Shela could switch places with her midair, and Malphegor made his escape after Justin broke his crimson staff.
After Justin stopped the train, the cadets were finally confronted by Doom himself. They were completely overwhelmed, but Shela had an idea. She tried to attack Doom, who grabbed her and readied to attack. Shela then switched back with Sin, who took the brunt of Doom’s energy blast. Just as disgusted with Hydra, Doom burned the skin off Sin’s face yet again. Satisfied with whatever success he accomplished, Doom decided to leave Blackheart to his new prison of humanity.
Home
Bri went back to Atlanta to come out to her mother, with Aaron and Luna tagging along. Unfortunately, so did Apostate. She waited for Bri to go hunting that night and attacked her. Bri was being distracted by her vampire rival so that Emplate could attack her home, where they had assumed Shela would be.
When Bri and Apostate returned to the house, Emplate was angry that Shela was nowhere to be found. Safron recognized Marius though from when she would go hunting with Blade when Bri was a baby. She had shown Marius mercy for not being a real vampire, and she and Bri invited him into her home many years ago. As such, Emplate had a change of heart trying to hurt them.
Apostate lashed out in anger. She was promised a cure if she helped Emplate attack Bri's friends, but it was all a lie. She swore she'd be paid in blood instead, which forced Bri and Emplate to team up and stop Apostate, who was taken to hell by DOA.
