A Dreadnought attacks the Nightstalkers' headquarters to steal the exorcist, an anti-occult gun, for use by Hydra. With this information Frank Drake reaches out to Doctor Strange, who follows the lead to a bunker run by the Department of Occult Affairs. Within he discovers numerous mystical items of great import, and a lab where they are growing vampire stormtrooper grown from Dracula's DNA. Bloodstorm One is birthed and slaughters all D.O.A agents within the lab.

Blood Hunt

Bloodstorm One acts as second-in-command of Varnae, and the field leader of the Bloodcoven.

Following the Blood Hunt, the Bloodcovern goes into hiding in New York. Bloodstorm One - the self-appointed leader of this new sect - observes newly-sired vampires being cured by the Blood Hunters, and sends Smoke Eater after them alongside Cruel and Unusual. The trio ambush monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone and briefly torture her, before Miles Morales and the rest of the team free her and join the fight. During this Dagger is injured and taken by Miles to the hospital, but the Bloodcoven intercept and capture Tandy. Bloodstorm One addresses his sect of vampires, claiming that Dagger's potent mutate blood shall give them the strength to take back New York and, soon, the world.
