Burt was created by Christopher Priest (A.K.A. Jim Owsley) & Mark Bright. He appeared in Spider-Man vs. Wolverine #1.

Burt and Sophie were acting as undercover agents in Hell's Kitchen but were killed by Charlemagne. Spider-Man later found their dead bodies.
