Buzzsaw was a member of the cult of the Children of Heaven, an organization that targeted young runaways to make money out of abusing them. He fled in terror when Archangel closed the operation down and ultimately moved to Brooklyn to live with his cousin. His mutant power enabled him to conjure energy from his hands.
