Canasta was a member of the Anti-Registration underground and was one of the few heroes who managed to escape from Iron Man and thus escape imprisonment. Canasta urged Sally Floyd to escape with him and he managed to get her to safety.

After the Civil War had ended, Canasta was considered by Iron Man as a potential recruit for The Initiative.

Creation

Canasta was created by Paul Jenkins and Ramon Bachs with his first (and only issue where he physically appears) appearance being in Civil War: Front Line #4 - Embedded, Part 4.
