Cybor tried to stalk Klaatu himself, but ended up getting his craft torn apart. Cybor's personal force field saved him, but he drifted close enough to a star so that his right side was burned beyond repair. So, they cut him in half and replaced his body parts with machines.
Creation
Captain Cybor was created by Roy Thomas and Herb Trimpe in 1971 and first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #136.
