On Earth-6160, The Maker used time travel to manipulate the world and stop any of the heroes and superhuman from experiencing the secret origins that made them who they were. Without them, the world would be much easier for The Maker to take over, however, Howard Stark managed to trap him behind a timed lock. In the meantime, this world's Tony Stark (Iron Lad) and Reed Richards (Doom) used Maker's records and cache of origin catalysts to re-create the heroes before The Maker is released. The hero chosen to be Hawkeye rejected the offer and discarded the Stark tech archery equipment in the trash. It was recovered by Native American activist, Charli Ramsey, who used the archery weapons to sabotage Roxxon operations

Creation

Charli Ramsey first appeared in Ultimates (2024) #5 by Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri. Camp mentioned on social media that he was inspired by the queer and "two spirit" organizers for the water protectors at Standing Rock, so Charli's pronouns are they/them.

Showdown in K'un-Lun

Immortal Weapons vs The Ultimates
Immortal Weapons vs The Ultimates

Charli was recruited to The Ultimates by Captain America. Their first official mission was when Iron Lad activated the whole network for a rescue mission on a Damage Control blacksite where twelve superhumans were being kept. Unfortunately, this was a trap. When The Ultimates arrived, they were teleported to the Immortal City of K'un-Lun, which had become the stomping ground for The Hulk, a member of the Maker's Council.

Hulk, who was also the Iron Fist, offered them poisoned tea, a quick and painless death. The Ultimates chose a warrior's chance, believing they could take on one Hulk. Unfortunately, Hulk had gamma-irradiated the other Immortal Weapons as well. The team was no match for gamma-strong, chi-balanced, and martial arts trained aggressors. Iron Lad was crushed, and She-Hulk's hand was destroyed. With the team on the ropes, Doom teleported them to safety, admitting defeat.

Raid on Castletown

Ultimates vs The Red Skulls

Charli joined a task force of The Ultimates which raided Castletown, one of 23 militia towns related to the neo-Nazi group, The Red Skulls. It was the most central, housing the leader of the national movement, The Grand Skull. Because the militiamen had their children staying at the militia town, the Ultimates opted for a stealth mission rather than a frontal assault. Charli's sound dampening arrows, which neither whistled through the air or allowed their combatants to thud to the ground, made them uniquely qualified.

After breaking into the main building, Charli's teammates Captain America and Jim Hammond were shocked to find their WWII ally, Namor, a royal from Atlantis, pinned to the wall with a number of other taxidermized fish trophies. The Grand Skull mocked them over their dead friend before turning his men on them. They were no match for the Ultimates though. The Grand Skull ultimately teleported away, after revealing his identity to be Cap's WWII era sidekick, Bucky Barnes.

Charli than participated in a burial at sea of Namor putting their teammates' ally to rest.

The Ronin

Charli went on a solo mission to take out the top arms dealers in the world. This raised their reputation quite a bit, putting them on Roxxon's radar. When they connected them to the number of attacks on their facilities, they laid a trap for Charli. He was invited to a masquerade ball where a certain senator would be in attendance. Unfortunately, the senator was not in attendance.

Exterminatrix, working for Roxxon, had them drugged and put through a number of trials for the entertainment of the party guests. Their final trial was a one-on-one fight with the Ronin, who was actually Clint Barton, the man who Charli's bow and arrow was intended for. Exhausted from their previous trials, Charli nearly lost but defeated Clint with a flashbang arrow.

Exterminatrix executed Clint, turning him into gold, and let Charli go as she promised she would if they on. She also left Charli with the opportunity to become the Ronin if they ever needed to.

Ultimates 3.0

With Stark finally back on his feet after the fight in the K'un-Lun, The Ultimates had an all members meeting to confront Doom about his use of time travel to save them from being slaughtered by the gamma Immortal Weapons. Charli was one of four members who were asked to telecommunicate in so that the Ultimates were never all in the same place at the same time in case they were attacked. Charli, like the other members, has been having nightmares of their death ever since. Although the news was shocking, they unanimously believed that Doom did the right thing and that their tactics must change moving forward.
