Chrome
One of the original Acolytes, Chrome saved Magneto's life when Asteroid M fell to Earth by using his power of transmuting elements to wrap him in a layer of metal.

Chrome was one of Magneto's original first Acolytes (they attacked Genosha under his orders) before it was even controlled by him. He helped to capture numerous X-Men with the rest of the team, and was eventually offered the chance to live on Asteroid M with Magneto. When Asteroid M crashed, Chrome died as he sacrificed himself in order to save the others.
Creation
Chrome was created by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee in 1991 and first appeared in X-Men # 1.
Powers
Chrome can transmute elements, even temporarily altering a living body. He flies by turning the air around him into rocket-like combustion.
