Hal Jordan was a member of the Star Brand Corps. He was framed for the death of Sinestro by Uatu the Guardian. The Corps hunted him across the universe while Uatu killed every other member one by one, leaving Hal the last remaining member.
The disgraced and drunken Hal soon found himself face to face with Uatu and about to meet his death, when he was saved by the Speed Demon. But apparently, Hal was not completely innocent and was killed by the Demon.
