All that is known about Commodore Planet is that he has been experimented on (though he never said by whom), which gave him enhanced strength and durability.
Power Man and Iron Fist, while on a mission to find Moon Knight, interrupt a delivery of guns to Commodore Planet aboard a submarine. Though Iron Fist manages to defeat him, he escapes before being detained. He shows up again soon, confronting Power Man in an alley.
In a separate incident, Commodore Planet is hired by a crime boss to blow up three cabs, one of which happens to be Jake Lockley's. His weapon of choice being an old school bazooka. Moon Knight tracks him down and defeats him.
