8 Deaths of Spider-Man

As a Scion of Cyttorak, Cyra was forced to occasionally fight a champion of Earth along with her fellow siblings. If they won, Cyttorak would be allowed to invade Earthrealm, however, Doctor Strange defeated them time and time again. Cyra was never that interested in the contest and longed to be free of her obligation. When Doctor Doom took over as Sorcerer Supreme, he saw this gauntlet as below him and chose Spider-Man as his champion.
Cyra took her time studying Spider-Man, especially since he managed to defeat four of her siblings before it was her turn. As a representative of the inevitably of death, her challenge was to show the champion death after death, starting with those closest to him. It took 3 million deaths to break Spider-Man. Doctor Strange's record was 809 thousand. Cyra was so impressed by not only Peter's fortitude but that he grieved every death rather than compartmentalize them as Strange had done in the past. She decided to betray her brethren and partner with Spider-Man.
This is when Strange revealed that the true evil held back thanks to the covenant was a soul rotting disease called The Blight, which had already infected Callix, Cyra's twin. Spidey and Cyra track Callix in Cyttorak's realm, where they find her brethren killed. Their power was absorbed by Callix, who sneaked up on Spidey and broke his neck. Cyra was so overwhelmed with grief, a new feeling, that she made a deal with Death. Cyra gave up her immortality to give Spidey life once more, and then shared her Cyttorak power to make him into a juggernaut. Her sacrifice inspired her father as Spider-Man's inspired her, and Cyttorak replace Spider-Man to hold back The Blight himself.
