Origin

Sanjar Javeed was the illegitimate son of King Shapur II and one of his servants. The king was reknowned for his generosity, strength and compassion. However, to keep his illegitimate son a secret Sanjar was shown none of these qualities. The hypocrisy drove Sanjar mad and also to thievery. Sanjar stole rare treasures from his father to give to the townspeople so that he could get the attention he felt was owed to him as a prince. Unfortunately, his mutant powers awoke and he developed an "ailment aura". His powers turned the treasures into conduits for many diseases and spread disease and death throughout the kingdom. As his father expired he named his son "The Seraph of Death."
Creation
Sanjar was created by Rick Remender and Jerome Opena, and first appeared in Uncanny X-Force #2 (2010).
Major Story Arcs
Final Horsemen
In Persia circa 325 A.D., Apocalypse declared that The Seraph of Death was aptly named and so instructed Ozymandias to collect Sanjar Javeed as the second of his Final Horsemen, Death.
Following the Second Coming, Javeed was loyal to the child Apocalypse that X-Force assassinated, and later to his successor Archangel. During the final battle Javeed was killed by Deathlok, who was inmune to his mutant power.
Pan-Asian School for the Unusually Gifted

It is unclear how Javeed survived his death during the Dark Angel Saga, but Archangel's own death seems to have purged the corruption in his body and soul. Now a mutant who seeks redemption, Sanjar Javeed has become a teacher and is currently working at the Pan-Asian School for the Unusually Gifted at the request of Agents of Atlas leader Jimmy Woo. During his tenure as Professor, Javeed has helped his students understand their powers and taught various superheroes, included Giant-Man and Crescent.
"Nearly two-thirds of the world's population lives here in Asia, yet we have the fewest amount of heroes per capita. Here at the Pan-Asian School for the Unusually Gifted, our mission is to train and educate agents to help protect Asia from future foes."
X-Corp
Javeed also joined the Krakoan outreach organisation X-Corp, supplying aid to humans worldwide.
Powers

Sanjar possesses the ability to transmit a wide spectrum of deadly diseases via personal contact with metal, which he channels his powers through metal rings on both his hands. He also has the inverse power of healing properties, showcasing the ability to boost a human's immune system to counteract bacterial and viral diseases.
