At some point, Kane Tucker was approached by Con Man Charley Huckle and given super powers. Dr. Dark wants vengeance on Huckle, so for protection Huckle organizes the B-Sides. Dr. Dark was a hero who turned villain and had a bounty on his head for jumping bail.
The B-Sides find Dr. Dark in a local bar grousing about how others call him Dr. Dork or Doc Ock. We know it has something to do with Charley Huckle, but the B-Sides don't find out what before Dr. Dark begins fighting and beating them. He is, however, beaten when the Fantastic Four arrives.
