Dumog is a Fomalhauti alien and an enemy of the Guardians of the Galaxy (Charlie-27, Nikki, Starhawk, Martinex T'Naga, Yondu Udonta, Vance Astro). Like all Fomahaulti, Dumog is a telepath. Telepathy is the sole means of communication of his race. Dumog possesses only a single (centralized) eye, and its body is amorphous, with no bones or any structure, though it can form and extend tentacles to grasp objects or to use as legs on which to run. Dumog can also breathe underwater. Though it can be frozen solid, it can apparently recover without permanent damage. It can form it's body into snaky tendrils or sharp points, and can bounce quickly by propelling forward.
Creation
Dumog was created by Steve Gerber and Jim Starlin in 1975 and first appeared in Giant-Size Defenders # 3.
