ED-209
Heavy armoured robot, ED-209 (Enforcement Droid 209), was created by OCP (primarily Dick Jones) to guard the destitute streets of a crime ridden Detroit. They were later replaced by Robocop.

History
The heavily armored robot ED-209 (Enforcement Droid 209) was created by OCP to guard the streets of a crime ridden Detroit. The ED-209 utilized an intimidating voice and animal sounds like a lion's roar to strike fear in to targeted criminals. It's bulky size and primitive mind however made the ED-209 series completely useless for this job especially in areas with stairs.
Production was almost immediately halted after the accidental death of an OCP executive during a showing of the ED-209. This tragedy led to the green lighting of the Robocop project. Later OCP decide to use ED-209 for secure company's office buildings and warehouses.
