Dr. Ella Sterling, an archaeologist, joined a Roxxon-funded expedition to locate the site of the Avingnon Party’s cannibalism, unaware that she and miner Philips Waggoner were being used in a secret experiment to create a stronger Wendigo by consuming its flesh on the cursed ground.

In the Canadian wilderness, Dr. Sterling and Waggoner fall victim to Banks’ plan, transforming Waggoner into the Ur-Wendigo. Weapon H fights to protect Sterling, but the creature grows stronger until Doctor Strange arrives, and together they defeat it when Weapon H sacrifices himself from within.
